Excursion to Lake Maggiore from Milan

Leave the urban Milan for one day and explore the rural surrounding in the picturesque setting of Lake Maggiore! Visit the elegant town of Stresa, learning about the region's history from your friendly and professional guide. Then jump on a boat for a 2-hour cruise around the lake, and enjoy this unique panorama. We will also visit the Borromean Islands – Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori, and Isola Bella – before coming back to Milan.

You will meet our friendly & qualified guide in the center of Milan and then hop on the comfortable bus for the relaxing trip to Lake Maggiore. Also known as Lake Verbano, this gorgeous body of water, lined with picturesque villages on its shores, is the second largest lake in the country.
We will arrive in the town of Stresa, a fancy lakeside town that is beloved for its fairy-tailish location. We will have some time to explore the town, walking down its streets, looking into boutiques and strolling along the shore. When the time comes, we will come aboard a boat for a 2-hour cruise around the lake. You will be amazed by the villas perched on the shore, the flourishing gardens and the mountains in the background.
We will navigate around Isola Madre toward Isola dei Pescatori, and then Island of the Fishermen, where we will disembark. You will have some free time here to discover the island at your own pace. You can spend time walking along the shore of the island or sitting down at a local tavern to try some fresh fish (at own expense). We will jump back on the boat and move to another one Borromean Islands. This time it is Isola Bella, which means "Beautiful Island", where you can visit the majestic Borromean Palace doing some shopping at the many boutiques and cafés housed in historic buildings.
Then we will take the boat and cruise back to Stresa for your return to Milan.
