About this experience
If you ask a local how they like to spend Christmas holidays they say "il dolce far niente", meaning the sweetness of doing nothing.
But there's more! Romans have several rituals and habits regarding their winter holidays and they are half-aware about them.
Discover it with us!
Explore the historical center following Christmas lights and wandering little markets, passing by unmissable landmarks such as Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and St Peter's Square.
Our special walking tour will take you to the most remarkable sights of central Rome with the help of a friendly local guide to live together an afternoon of adventure, art, and Christmas.
We will start with the Spanish Steps, located in Piazza di Spagna one of Rome's most suggestive piazzas. From there we will take Via Condotti, a well-known shopping mecca for every local, and reach the legendary Trevi Fountain.
Just a few steps away and we are in front of the Pantheon, the best-preserved Roman temple in Rome. Then, it will be the time for the Roman Christmas highlight: the beautiful square Piazza Navona. This piazza shows the majestic Renaissance buildings and Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s beautiful Fountain of the Four Rivers but during Christmas time it also become one of the most famous Christmas markets in Italy, and you'll have the opportunity to see it on this special season!
We will refuel our energies taking a hot chocolate or a hot cappuccino in a historical bar and then we head the Vatican and St. Peter’s Square.
Our walking will end here, in front of the amazing Christmas tree they made every year in St. Peter’s Square, along with the Nativity Scene.
Don't miss the chance to spend your winter holidays in the right way!
