Explore the Colosseum for real!
We will begin our exclusive tour at the special entrance to the “backstage” of the Colosseum.
You will follow your qualified local guide into the Underground section to discover its inner workings. You will admire the partial reconstruction of the ancient Arena Floor and you will be able to understand the extent of the amphitheater from a unique point of view: where gladiators faced their foes.
Then, we will climb to the second tier to enjoy the complete opposite perspective: the one of the spectators of these bloody events.
Along with the Colosseum, you will also get the Skip-the-Line access to the Roman Forum, the political and social heart of Ancient Rome. We will have a stroll through Via Sacra, accompanied by your friendly guide, the same road walked by legionaries when they come back from wars and where acclaimed by the crowd.
You’ll learn how the Roman political climate was so instable, founded on rhetoric and war glory, that often led to assassinations and riots.
We will also visit the Palatine Hill to discover the origin of Rome and how the violent conflict between the two brothers founders would resonate throughout its history.
We are going to explore the palace ruins of Roman emperors and we will see what they see from their very homes.

Please make sure you carry an ID or Passport with you on tour to ensure you will be able to enter the venue.
Please note that at times our access to the Colosseum Underground is combined with the access to the Belvedere the 3rd, 4th and 5th levels of the Colosseum.
This is a special access area usually closed to the public, which when available, we will offer to you at no extra cost. In order for you to fully enjoy it, your guide will spend more time inside the Colosseum and less time in the Forum and Palatine Hill.
