Take our tour to the majestic Catherine Palace and one of the area's most beautiful former summer palaces without the noisy crowds around!
Join our small group (limited to 16 people) and explore of this former Imperial residence with our qualified local guide. It is a grand property that was left completely gutted―but renovated widely―after WWII.
Join us and roam around its opulent halls and visit rooms such as the
Amber Room: painstakingly recreated with amber panels, gold leaf, and mirrors in a process that took over twenty years.
Afterward, we will spend some time in Catherine Park and our qualified guide will tell you everything about this impressive gardens.
You will learn the history of the palace foundation and how it was redesign by leading imperial architects
You will also be amazed at the amount of destruction the Second World War did to this palace. You will listen to anecdotes about the slow restoration process which include the story of the famous Amber Room: how it disappeared and how it was newly recreated by skilled amber craftsmen in the local workshops of Trsaskoye Selo.
