Our Saint Mark's Basilica tour comes with the skip the line ticket: you will go straight inside the church, avoiding the long queues you will find in front of the building.
The Golden Basilica is one of a kind in Italy due to the oriental influences on its architecture. You’ll have the pleasure to enjoy stunning gold mosaics (the Basilica has 43,000 square feet of mosaic alone!) and marble inlays of the floors, sitting cozily while our guide will point our for you all the major attractions, such as the biblical scenes in the frescos, telling you the history and the characteristics of this ancient basilica.
You will see the majestic The Pala D'oro, a wonderful example of the byzantine art decorated by thousands of gems and precious stones. Our guide will show you the Treasury, a glory of the religious art collected over the centuries.
The Basilica is the quintessential model of Venetian art which means a unique harmony of Byzantine, Romanesque and Gothic elements with the Five Oriental-looking domes crown.
At the end of the tour, you will have the chance to join the free optional tour “the Glass Craftsman at work” by visiting a Glass Factory very close to Saint Mark’s Square (20 minutes tour).

Unfortunately this tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities.
-Tour does not operate in case of exceptional high tide or in case of religious functions (in these cases it can be postponed the day after otherwise it will be refunded)
-During some days of high turnout or reasons of force majeure (for example high tide or security problems) the waiting time to access St.Mark's Basilica might be longer than expected: in this case please line up and respect the instructions provided by the guide
-For the visit of the Basilica suitable clothing is required (no shorts).
-For security reasons sacks, bags or knapsacks are not allowed inside the Basilica: Prior to your visit you must deposit them at the Ateneo San Basso (St. Mark's Square, Calle San Basso). The storage service is free of charge but please allow sufficient time!
